Ganderbal, Sep 10 (KNS): Following the directions of SDM Kangan, a team of officers including BDO Kangan, Assistant Director FPO, Food safety officer with the assistance of police conducted anti-polythene drive in Kangan market.
During the drive, 4.5 kg polythene has been seized and Rs 700 fine has been recovered from the violators.
Moreover, awareness about the environmental hazards has been provided to the general public and the shopkeepers.
They were also directed not to use any polythene.
The officials said that these drives will be now a routine work until Kangan area will be free from such hazardous thing. (KNS)
