Demand immediate release of their pending honorarium

Srinagar, Mar 25 (KNS): Scores of Anganwadi workers on Saturday staged protest against the government for ‘failing to release their honorarium from past six months’.
The women protesters who assembled at Srinagar’s Pratap Park were chanted slogans like ‘we want justice’. They were demanding immediate release of their pending honorarium.
The protesting Anganwadi workers said that the government has failed to release their honorarium from past six months thereby leaving the Anganwadi workers to suffer.
“We have not received our salaries from last six months,” said Gulshan, a protester.
She further said that they have been demanding regularisation of their services from last one year, but government is not listening to their pleas. “Besides ignoring our pleas, the government is not even releasing our pending honorarium,” she added.
She said that they will continue to stage protests against the government in case they failed to fulfill their demands.
The Anganwadi workers later appealed the higher ups to release their honorarium at earliest. (KNS)
