Srinagar, May 17 (KNS): Expressing deep concern over an alarming spurt in Covid-19 positive cases in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir especially in kashmir valley , Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Yaseen has urged the need to implement all health advisories , lockdown SOPs, social distancing norms , personal and environmental hygiene to stop the dreaded Novel Coronovirus from community transmission .
In a statement issued to KNS, Hakeem Yaseen has said that alarming increase in Covid-19 positive cases in Kashmir , as witnessed yesterday , was a cause of serious concern adding that Government should make foolproof arrangements to ensure no person entering the valley skips thermal screening and sample testing. He said strict action should be taken against people for hiding thier travel history adding that there should be no compromise on health advisories to check spread of Novel Coronovirus.
Hakeem Yaseen has also asked the government to look into the allegations about poor facilities in various quarantine centers so that people don't shirk to sit in quarantine centers without hesitations. He said people in quarantine centers should be provided better boarding and lodging facilities as it was imperative to isolate infected people at the very early stage.
Hakeem Yaseen has urged the government to restore normal OPD and IPD functioning in all heath centers of the state especially in rural areas so that poor patients , other than Covid-19 related patients , are not put to hardships for want of health care treatment . He said several instances have come to fore during recent times where some common patients have allegedly died due to inadequate attention from the medicos . "We have to device a multidimensional strategy to deal with the unprecedented human cricis arising out of the Novel Coronovirus ," Hakeem Yaseen maintained adding that we shall have to learn to live with the pandemic till some vaccine or medicine was invented , which so far seems to be a remote possibility accordingly to the WHO experts.
