"Digital checking system is full of errors"

Srinagar, Dec 11 (KNS): KAS 2016 Mains aggrieved aspirants are organising a mass level protest at Pratap park tomorrow, 12 December 2018.
KAS Mains 2016 aspirants are on a prolong protest and agitation for the last 7 days challenging the mass error/scam in the recently declared JKPSC, KAS 2016 mains exam result.
The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission while declaring the result of KAS Mains 2016 exam on 4th December 2018 has ousted many deserving and meritorious candidates. As per the recent statement by Chairman the commission has adopted the methodology of Digital Checking.
Aspirants have alleged that Digital checking procedure is full of errors and many deserving candidates despite performing well in their papers are not in the list candidates shortlisted for interviews.
The agitated candidates alleged that how can commission arbitrarily adopt the methodology of Digital Checking and that too mid way of the examination where as UPSC doesn't adopt a similar approach.
The aspirants alleged that it's already a proven fact in various judgments across high Courts and Supreme Court that there are high chances of error if the papers are evaluated digitally.
KAS aspirants are citing the example of Orissa High Court whereby in a Judgement in a case challenging the Digital Marking in CBSE-NEET exam, HC remarked that the methodology of Digital Checking can never be absolute and there are high chances of variations and machinery error. A total of 8200 candidates appeared in the KAS Mains examination dated 2nd July 2016. Around 65,600 Answer scripts were evaluated via digital checking.
The candidates have alleged that without any expertise, infrastructure, resources and R&D how can JKPSC claim that their methodology of Digital Checking is without any error. The aggrieved candidates are demanding an immediate Judicial inquiry into this matter. They are even ready to give in written that if proven wrong then they can be debarred from any Future exams. But on the contrary they have demanded that if the Commission is at fault then all the officials should resign on the basis of accounability and credibility. (KNS)
