Budgam, Oct 15 (KNS): Senior separatist leader and president Anjuman Shari Shian Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi has asked people to be cautious about those elements who hail the ‘sham’ and ‘fraud’ elections that are being conducted in Kashmir against the will of the people.
In a statement to KNS, Aga Syed Hasan said that Urban Local Bodies elections violated the very definition of the democratic process, making a mockery of it as the identity of the contesting representatives is not known to the public nor the area going to polls. “Secrecy manipulation and bribery are the hallmark of this twisted exercise.”
He said that dismissing of this “farcical exercise” which in reality is a “military operation to legitimise Govt of India’s forcible control”, shows people’s unwavering commitment to their struggle for self determination and their political maturity.
Adding that it should be clear to those arrogant of their military power and unyielding to fundamental human principles, that Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute the resolution of whose is pending before the international body. (KNS)
