Srinagar, Aug 21 (KNS): All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) has said that the talk regarding abrogation of Article 35A is closely linked with the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in India.
Talking to media persons during a protest programme carried out in defence of Article 35A, APSCC Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to ride on the mileage out of the abrogation of Article 35A so that BJP emerges victorious in 2019 parliamentary elections.
"It is unfortunate that BJP and more so the Prime Minister is concerned about the electoral gains rather than the consequences that would emerge if Article 35A is abrogated. People of the state are united and won't allow such a thing to happen," said Raina.
APSCC extended its support to the two day protest programme of Joint Resistance Leadership. (KNS)
