ANC, Condemns Nowgam attack, Expresses solidarity with families of slain cops

 

Srinagar, August14: (KNS) Awami National Conference ( JKANC) on Friday condemned killing of two police cops in a militant attack at Nowgan Bypass chowk. The party his sympathies with the bereaved families of policemen Ishfaq Ahmad and Fayaz Ahmad .

In a statement issued to KNS, the president of ANC, Begum Khalida Shah said killing of any human is against tenants of all religions. He said the slain cops were on thier duty to earn livelihood and feed their families. Terming the attack as an inhuman act. The Senior Vice President of ANC Muzafar Shah said " it was most unfortunste that violence and gun continues to consume precious lives of the people especially youth of jammu and kashmir and has been adding to their pain and miseries with each passing day. He further said, The spokesman observed that it is highly unfortunate and heartrending that Kashmir continues to lose precious lives to senseless violence which has only aggravated the sufferings of the people over the years.

While extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured cop, ANC demanded an end to gun culture from both sides wether belt forces or gun wielding youth. The Party President urged the India and Pakistan to initiate a fruitful dialogue to have unending peace in the sub-continent.
" It was ultimately a Kashmiris who get affected and whose tragedies get increased each passing day," Muzafar Shah added that instead of resorting to the path of violence , dialogue and reconciliation should be given a fair chance from both sides to resolve all socio- political issues confronting people of jammu and kashmir.
