97 Kashmiri’s stranded in Jammu on way to home after Govt. arranges special SRTC buses

Srinagar, 10 May, (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Government on Sunday boarded 97 Kashmiri’s in special SRTCs buses from Jammu in order to facilitate their return to their homes in wake of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.

Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) tweeted, “97 residents of #Kashmir stranded in Jammu leaving for Srinagar & Ganderbal dists in spl SRTC buses from Sunjwan, Bathindi & Sidhra”.

Talking to KNS, stranded passengers said they were stuck in Jammu since countrywide lockdown was enforced and expressed happiness over their return to home facilitated by J&K administration.

“We were stuck in Jammu from last 45 days, today government of J&K arranged special SRTC vehicles to bring us home which is really a moment of happiness for all of us”, they said.

When asked about facilities being provided by J&K government during lockdown days, they said we are highly thankful to Government of J&K who provided us masks and other essential items to prevent from Covid-19 pandemic. (KNS)
