Srinagar, Sep 03 (KNS): Drug department  seized 7000 Codeine bottles in two days from Srinagar parts.
According to KNS On specific information Drug department recovered huge quantity of Codeine in Srinagar area.
Sources said that, On the directions of Deputy Drug Controller Kashmir Irfana Ahmad constituted a special team of Drug control officers including Assistant drug Controllers
These officers yesterday seized 4000 bottles of Codeine from from different areas of Srinagar and today this special team also seized 3000 Codeine bottles from Srinagar.
An officials of drug department said our team will also visit north Kashmir and south kashmir for checking
Deputy Drug Controller Irfana Ahmad told KNS that drug peddler is without license and we will investigate that whose tin number are using by drug peddlers .She said that strict action will be also taken against them for misusing Tin number.
She also said that this drive will remain continue until the end of the menace.
She further said that if anyone will found guilty he will be booked under law. Irfana appealed people cooperate with drug department and save the bright future of young generation .She further told that strict action will be taken against these drug peddlers
However locals have appreciated the move and timely action of drug department and police (KNS)
