Srinagar, June 10 (KNS): In a successful operation, officials of Forest Division Baramulla and Forest Protection Force, retrieved three hectares (60 Kanals) of encroached Forest land from encroachers in compartment 68 Bla of Ushkura Forest Block.

According to reports the forest team removed wooden poles, GI sheets and barbed wire that were erected by the encroachers on forest land to grab the said land.

The operation was carried out by the Range Officer Ghulam Jeelani Saboon with assistance rendered by Assistant Director FPF Manmeet Singh and other frontline forest staff.

The DFO Baramulla Pervaiz Wani appealed to the people to voluntarily remove their forest encroachments otherwise the department will swing into action and will forcefully recover the forest land from land grabbers. (KNS)
