SRINAGAR, February 13: (KNS)   A delegation of Panchayat members from S.K Bagh, Nowgam on Saturday joined Apni Party at the Party office in Lal Chowk, Srinagar.

The Panchayat members who joined Apni Party included: Mohammad Sadiq Dar (Sarpanch S.K Bagh), Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Dar (Panch, S.K Bagh), Altaf Hussain Dar (Panch, S.K Bagh), Firdous Ahmad Bhat (Panch, Nowgam-B), Ghulam Ahmad Haroon (Panch, Nowgam-B) along with scores of political activists.

The joining ceremony took place in presence of Apni Party Provincial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir, DDC Chairperson Malik Aftab, State Secretary and District President Budgam Muntazir Mohi-ud-din, DDC Vice Chairperson Bilal Bhat, Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi and Youth Leader Javid Junaid.

Mir welcomed the new entrants into the party fold and urged them to highlight and resolve the issues in their respective Panchayat zones. He said that resolving the grievances of the people are the prime concerns of an elected Panchayat member.

“Apni Party is determined to solve the problems faced by the people at large. They have been hoodwinked for so many years by various political parties promising them the moon at first and then yielding nothing on ground. However, Apni Party does not believe in emotive sloganeering; instead we focus on realistic issues that affect day-to-day lives of the common people,” Mir said.

The new entrants from S.K Bagh, Nowgam thanked the Party leadership for providing them with such a platform and avowed to strengthen the party at grass root level.(KNS)
