4 drug peddlers arrested in Sopore: Police

Sopore, sep 01 (KNS): Sopore police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four notorious drug peddlers during at Naka led by Police post Warpora in Hathlangoo village of Apple town Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and have recovered contraband substance from their possession.
Police have identified them as Naseer Ahmad Dar S/O Ghulam Ahmad Dar 2. Ab. Hamid Lone S/O Late Habibullah Lone both the residents of Hathlangoo and 3. Jahangir Ahmad Malla S/O Mohammad Shaban Malla 4. Khurshid Ahmad Dar S/O Mohammad Ramzaan Dar both residents of Muqam Shaheedmir during naka checking at Hathlangoo and recovered 300 grams of charas and 15 bottles of codiene phosphate from their possession which they are going to sell among the youth of Warpora and adjoining areas.
Case FIR No. 240/2020 U/S 8/20, 22, 29 registered in Police Station Sopore and further investigation set into motion.
It is pertinent to mention that Sopore Police has waged a full fledged war against drug menace in Police District Sopore .
Furthermore Sopore Police is requesting the General Public of Police District Sopore to provide their support in order to eradicate the drug menace in Police District Sopore. Locals hails the action of Sopore Police. (KNS)
