2nd militant killed in Baramulla encounter, Ops on: IGP Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 21 (KNS): Inspector general of police Kashmir zone Vijay Kumar on Thursday said that 2nd militant has been killed in the ongoing encounter in Baramulla district.

 
Kashmir zone police, while quoting IGP, in a Tweet informed that 2nd militants has also been killed, while operation was in progress.
 
He added that LeT commander Yousuf Kantroo had killed BDC Chairman Late Sardar Bhupinder Singh on 23/9/20 in his own native place in Khag area. 
 
He said that a case FIR No 79/20 was registered against Kantroo in PS Khag. 
 
Earlier, police said that top LeT commander was killed in Baramulla encounter and termed his killing as major success.
 
Quoting IGP, police in a Tweet earlier, informed that LeT commander Yousuf Kantroo has been killed in Baramulla encounter. 
 
IGP said that he was involved in several killing of civilians and security forces including the recent killing of an SPO and his brother in Budgam.
 
He said that he was also involved in the killing of one soldiers and a civilian in Budgam district and termed his killing as a big success.  
 
Earlier, an encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Malwag village of Baramulla district.
 
An official said three soldiers were also injured during the encounter. (KNS)
