Srinagar, May 22 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) is headless for last 22 days as the authorities are yet to appoint new Managing Director (MD) for the corporation.
Officials said that the absence of MD is taking a heavy toll on the functioning of the corporation. “The number of files pending in the corporation is increasing with each passing day while as the works of the corporation has also got affected since the former MD was transferred,” they said.
They said that the corporation is functioning headless since the last 22 days while as the government is taking no steps to fill the vacant seat.
Meanwhile, JKTDC Vice chairman, Rafi Mir told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the new MD for the corporation will be appointed in next two or three days. (KNS)
