Srinagar, May 15 (KNS): Authorities on Friday discharged 201 persons hailing from north Kashmir’s Kupwara district after completing all medical formalities regarding quarantine.
Reports reached to Kashmir News Service (KNS), two-hundred and one persons including students and traders hailing from Kupwara district were discharged from Srinagar quarantine centre after completing all required medical formalities, officials said.
They said all persons were brought from outside UT on first week of May and were quarantined in various locations in Srinagar, however after their repeated tests came negative during 48 hours, quarantine centre authorities allowed them to walk home.
At the occasion, officials of the district administration and doctors greeted them.
Meanwhile authorities also discharged four Covid-19 patients from GMC Anantnag after they recovered and their tests came negative on Thursday night.
Sources said that hospital authorities of Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag on Friday discharged 4 Covid-19 patients who were admitted here before two weeks. They said the patients followed medical protocol and remained under observation of medical experts during the time.
They said hospital authorities took samples of these patients for further revelations which however came negative repeatedly on Thursday night. They added on Friday they were allowed to walk to their respective homes. (KNS)
