Constable Gulfraz Ahmad adjudged all round best Trainee

Jammu, Jan 21 (KNS): The attestation cum passing out parade of 14th BRTC batch of Constables was held today at Subsidiary Training Centre, Sheeri. Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was the chief guest on this occasion who inspected the parade and took salute.
472 Recruit Constables selected through Transparent Recruitment Process (TRP) passed out after completion of their basic training.
Top civil, army, para military and police officers attended the passing out parade.
Speaking on this occasion Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti appreciated the role of J&K Police in maintaining peace in the state and said Police have given supreme sacrifices in the line of duty. While complementing J&K Police for Transparent Recruitment Process she said that it has been hailed by all. she impressed upon policemen to wean youth away from the path of violence and continue its fight against drugs and crime against women. HCM advised policemen to work hard for bringing peace to the state.
In his address DGP Dr. S.P Vaid said that following the directions of Chief Minister we have launched a massive outreach program. Dr. Vaid said, more than 1700 Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings were held by our officers. DGP while highlighting community Policing said that we are reaching to every citizen of the state. Dr vaid said that war against drugs and crime against women are challenges for the police but our force is dealing with them.
In his welcome address Principal STC Sheeri, Farooq Ahmad give a brief resume of the recruit constables and trainings imparted to them, he said that out of 472 trainees 225 are graduates. He said that apart from basic training special classes were held.
Constable Gulfraz Ahmad was adjudged all round best Trainee and was granted out of turn promotion. He was decorated with Sg.Ct.rank on the spot by Chief Minister and DGP J&K.
Constables Aijaz Ahmad and Ravi Kumar were declared 2nd and 3rd All Round best and were awarded with Commendation Certificate Class I along with cash reward of rupees ten thousand and seventy five hundred respectively. Constable Gulfraz Ahmad, Constable Pankaj Kumar and Rafiq Ahmad secured Position in Indoor, Outdoor and Range classification respectively and were also awarded cash reward of rupees seventy five hundred each along with the commendation certificate Class I. Parade commanders Rohit Sharma and Chander Kant Chalotra were also awarded with cash reward of rupees five thousand and three thousand along with Commendation certificate. (KNS)
