LG Sinha Extends Condolences

Jammu, May 30(KNS): At least 10 persons died and 55 were injured after a bus plunged into a deep gorge in Jajjar Kotli area of Jammu district on Tuesday morning.

An official said that the incident took place near Jhajjar Kotli when a bus, bearing registration number UP81CT-3537, veered off the road and fell into a deep gorge. The bus was en route from Amritsar to Katra at the time of the accident.

According to an official, ten people tragically lost their lives on the spot, while 55 others sustained injuries. Among the injured, four individuals in critical condition were immediately transferred to the Government Medical College and Hospital, while the remaining 12 are receiving treatment at a local Primary Health Center.

Expressing deep sorrow, LG Manoj Sinha extended his heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and offered prayers for the swift recovery of the injured. He directed the district administration to provide all necessary assistance and medical treatment to those affected by the accident.(KNS).
