‘Daleel’ is new talk show; here is how RJ Umar is taking Kashmiri to national level with Neelesh Mishra

Srinagar: To promote Kashmiri on national level through Radio Talk, RJ Umar Nisar, has started a new radio talk show, "Daleel".

“ I named my show ‘Daleel’ which means story or storytelling in Kashmiri, I’m doing this show in my mother tongue 'Kashmiri', he said and further added that, " I believe the show will narrate the soulful tales from heavenly Valley”.

RJ Umar wants to promote Kashmiri in a unique way, where no one has ever tried to give language it's due recognition on national level.

"I have witnessed that till now no such show promoted our own mother language which kept the youth unaware about it. The sweetness of Kashmiri language has started to fade. I want to refresh it once again with my magical touch of narrating stories with messages and promoting sufism to make young generation know about the real and everlasting essence of our culture", he said

Interestingly, the show will be started by Neelesh Misrhra,an Indian journalist, author, radio storyteller, scriptwriter and lyricist. He is most known for his radio show, Yaadon Ka IdiotBox with Neelesh Misra on BIG FM 92.7. Neelesh Mishra is also co-founder-editor of Gaon Connection, India's rural newspaper.

Umar Nisar, is an award winning Radio Jockey, Ted Talk speaker and the storyteller from a small hamlet of Tral, Pulwama, Kashmir. After his podcast with 'Apple' and 'Google' he is now on Mic for his Kashmiri Storytelling show. "See I want to promote the culture of Kashmir inorder to keep it alive in our hearts and in lives respectively. I will be talking in proper Kashmiri language in this show to promote our language nationally and internationally as well. Our mother language is our stars and we must wear it with pride", Umar added

In his first episode Umar is narrating the of Habba Khatoon (1554–1609), well known as Nightingale of Kashmir. She was an eminent Kashmiri Muslim poet and the wife of Yusuf Shah Chak, the last ruler of Kashmir.

In the other episode Umar narrated about "Nund Rishi".
Nund Reshi, also known as Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani honorary title Alamdar-e-Kashmir, was a Kashmiri Sufi saint, mystic and poet. With his magical voice and flawless way he narrated the whole story in an astounding manner. (KNS)
