Second interactive session with Numberdars held in Srinagar

 Srinagar, Dec 18 (KNS): The 2nd phase of interactive sessions with the Numberdars of villages falling under the Local Planning area of Srinagar Metropolitan region 2035 was held in Tuesday at Srinagar authority office complex office under the chairmanship of Vice chairman SDA.
The session was attended by the more than fifty Numberdars of these villages, on this occasion Secretary SDA, Deputy Director Enforcement SDA, Divisional Town Planner SDA and several others senior officers of the Authority were present on the occasion.
During the session the participants were briefed about the importance of the master plan for ensuring proper and organized development of these areas .and where briefed about the Development code regulations and its implications.
Vice chairman explained the Building permission is an important tool for proper implementation of master plan on ground so as to achieve planned development he said it is the duty of Numberdars to make aware the general public of their respective areas and aware them to necessity to approach SDA for accord of building permission for the new and ongoing construction.
It was impressed upon the Numberdars to also caution the general public in their areas that illegal construction that is construction without the proper building permission from the authority shall be strictly dealt with including by dismantling such structures which may cause huge finicial loss to the violators.
They were also told that don’t allow anybody in your respective areas to allow them for illegal construction as to cohesive and planned development within the limits of Srinagar Metropolitan Region.
It is to mention here that this was the 2nd interactive session to familiarize the stakeholders with the necessity of undertaking any development or construction only after permission from authority. The authority also said such interactive session in coming days with different categories of stakeholders. (KNS).
