Srinagar, Oct 18 (KNS): Militant outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad Wednesday distances itself from the grenade attack at Tral bus stand in which three persons lost their lives.
In a tele-statement issued to KNS, JeM said the attack was carried out by CRPF. The outfit said that the arrested youth Gulzar Ahmad Dar was not part of the militant outfit.
Spokesperson of JeM, Mohammad Hassan Shah, said that police has arrested Gulzar Ahmad Dar and claimed he was member of JeM. “There is no connection between JeM and Gulzar Ahmed. He is from a poor family and has been arrested on fabricated charges,” he said.
The spokesperson said that according to eyewitness account, the grenade attack was carried out by the CRPF personnel.
“The shopkeeper who was witness to the incident was also shot dead.”
“We are for protection of our nation and to target Indian security forces,” Shah said in the statement. (KNS)
