PHD chamber thanks LG for providing relaxation of 3 days for registration of vehicles on pre-revises rates

 Srinagar, Feb 20 (KNS):  PHD Chamber expressed its profound gratitude and applauded the  Lt Governor led Administration for providing relaxation breather time of 3 days for the registration of vehicles on pre-revised rates at a public outreach program held at Shere-I-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), Srinagar. A delegation of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry  Kashmir on Friday, February 7th 2020  met Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu and presented a 20-point agenda for contemplation. 

Baldev Singh Raina, Chairman, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir Chapter, along with executive committee members Showket Choudhary, Bilal Kawoosa, Adnan Shah  and whole team of PHD chamber Kashmir extended his sincere thanks to  the LG Murmu Chief Secretary Balasubramaniam, Financial Commissioner Dr Arun Kumar Mehta Ji for this  bold move to provide a 3 days relaxation which will act as fresh breather for the owners of the vehicles who were stuck for registration of their Vehicle, a statement reads.

We want to express our profound gratitude to LG who has helped us a lot by personally understanding our genuine concerns pertaining to the relaxation to the vehicle owners for registration which was submitted by PHD Chamber Kashmir in its 20 point agenda. We also want to express our sincere thanks to all the bureaucrats involved in this process for the necessary support and help they provided in a time bound manner. This we believe will be a great breakthrough in the economic reform system of J&K  and will have a positive impact on the growth and development of this major employment generation sector. Also we hope that the present government will also revise the tax rates on automobile sector in UT of J&K in order to boost the economic growth and competition with nearby states, said Raina in a statement.  

“We have also appeal to the LG led Administration to solicit their intervention to prevail upon the Reserve Bank of India to approve a special dispensation for allowing rehabilitation and relief measures to all loan accounts including Large Borrowers in the stressed economy of Union Territory of J&K,” statement reads.

The PHD Chamber has also highlighted the resolution of the pending  issues of extension in amnesty in Old Tax regime-VAT, snow storm declaration for horticulture insurance, lending by Banks to all SME`s and large borrowers needs to be structured for 15 years in UT of J&K, Review of Srinagar Master Plan etc. in the interaction with LG at srinagar. 

We as a chamber believe that every positive decision by LG  in any sector  of economy is welcomed as it will generate employment opportunities for the potential workforce, drive consumer demand sentiments in the economy, provide further impetus and pave way to achieve economic development of Union Territory of J&K , going forward, said Baldev Singh Raina.(KNS)
