Kupwara March 19: (KNS)  The Naugam brigade of the Indian Army along with the support of locals launched a cleanliness drive at village Naugam named "Naugam Swachh Abhiyan" to promote and raise awareness on the importance of cleanliness in the village neighborhood. The drive was aimed at cleaning of village area after the end of chilling winters and snow fall.

According to reports the local awaam of the village also participated in the cleanliness drive with great enthusiasm and zeal. The village leaders appreciated the initiative by providing "shram daan" for the cause and committing their efforts for future in order to maintain a clean and hygienic naugam.

Such cleanliness drives not only add to a better and healthy living of the local awaam but also in increasing awareness amongst local population about benefits of a better and hygnic living. The armed forces believe that these initiatives will surely elevate the living conditions of the local popultion of the village>(KNS)
